Mein Entscheidung FÜRs Medizinstudium

The more time you spend in school, and the closer you get to the high school diploma, the more you ask yourself what you want to study, and ideally, what profession you want to pursue the rest of your life.

Ever since I started thinking about my future, I’ve always liked medicine, but also law. However, since I estimated my chances of getting a study place in medicine from the very beginning quite low, at the beginning I focused more on legal internships with school internships etc. However, after I lost the desire, I concentrated more on how I can still get hold of a place in my medical school with my high school diploma. However, since I was still at school at that time, I could not quite imagine what my high school graduation should be like, but I was nevertheless certain that if I was studying in Germany I would have to go to a private university to study there to be able to. Since I was still a minor at the time (three-quarters of a year before graduation), the idea of going abroad was stranger than foreign. If you take a closer look at the selection system of the private medical universities in Germany, it quickly becomes clear that the probability of getting a place there is almost zero.

Weakened by all the rainfall, I found myself thinking of spending half a year in Spain on the one hand, because I could have brushed up my Spanish there, and on the other because I first took the step “abroad” and learned would have to what extent, or rather if I can imagine a life abroad as part of the study.
